ZAWA Ghambhar - 2006


On 15 July 2006, ZAWA held its Annual Ghambhar for the year 2006. The evening began at 6:30 p.m. with an address from the Chairman Vizak Irani. A minute's silence was held as a mark of respect for the innocent victims of the Mumbai Train Bombings. That was followed by a marathon chat fest by the Zoros. Then dinner was served. Dinner consisted of:
  • Masala-ni Dar and Chaval
  • Chicken Kababs
  • Vegetable Stew
  • Salads
  • Lagan-nu-Achar
  • Saaria and
  • Ice-cream
  • Gajar-no-Halvo (kindly donated by Firoze and Sheroo Vakil)

Funds were collected. All proceeds collected would go towards the many poor Zarathushtis in Mumbai and the villages of India and to sponsor Navjote and Sudreh Kusti for needy Zarathushti children.
